





Known to Everyone — Liked by All: The Business of Being Mark Twain

This exhibit featured the extraordinary Mark Twain collection of Susan Jaffe Tane. The exhibition, accompanying website, catalog and opening lecture were funded by her generosity and commitment. Samuel Langhorne Clemens, the author known to the world as Mark Twain, died on April 21, 1910. Cornell University Library observed the centenary of his death with an exhibition commemorating the life and work of this American icon.
Lafayette: Citizen of Two Worlds

This exhibit celebrated the 250th anniversary of Lafayette’s birth. Housed in Cornell Library's Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections, the Lafayette collection numbers more than 11,000 original manuscripts, documents, letters, and associated books, images, and artifacts.

This exhibit included a selection of pivotal books and documents from the collections of Cornell University Library and Cornell Law Library for the occasion of the dedication of the Cornell Center for Documentation on American Law at the French Cour de cassation, Paris, France.
